On July 25, 2024 we traveled to Dayton, Ohio and visited the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Inside this museum are several planes, one of which is called the Sacred Cow, and has some significate history relating to the United States Air Force.
The National Museum of the US Airforce is located at 1100 Spaatz St., Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433. Intermission to the museum and parking is FREE.
About the Sacred Cow Presidential Plane
The Sacred Cow is a historic aircraft that served as the primary presidential transport for several U.S. presidents. Its unique features and significance make it a notable part of American aviation history. The Sacred Cow was originally a modified Douglas VC-54 Skymaster, which was used during World War II. It was specifically adapted for presidential use and became famous for its role in transporting President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
