If you would like to see a massive Christmas collection, then Castle Noel in Medina, Ohio is the place you want to visit.
From old store front Christmas displays to props from Christmas movies, this former church is packed full of items for everyone ages 9 to 92. We have visited this location twice so far, and are certain we will go back again sometime in the future.
Located at 260 S Court St, Medina, OH 44256, Castle Noel is the passion of Mr. Mark Klaus. That's right, Klaus. It started out as a simple collection and the craftsmanship of Mr. Klaus and now it is America's largest indoor collection of Christmas items under one roof that is open year round. You can find out more about hours and tour ticket prices by visiting Castle Noel's website.
We made a video talking about Mark and how he is saving Christmas for future generations.
The Collection
What Mr. Klaus has collect is nothing short of being amazing. If you are into Christmas, you will be shocked by all of the items throughout the building. We put together another video talking about the building and the collection.
Christmas Movie Props
To keep this post short, we are going to focus on the Christmas Movie props at Castle Noel; however, there is so much more there then just the movie props. Please make sure to browse through the photos to see some of the other items from the Christmas related record collection to the New York department store fronts saved from being placed in dumpsters.
Cousin Eddie's RV from Christmas Vacation
Dudley Moore's Costume from Santa Claus the Movie
House model used to film, Deck the Halls
Sleigh and costume from The Grinch
Cindy Lou Who's bedroom from The Grinch
Slide from A Christmas Story
Santa and reindeer from Santa Claus The Movie
Costumes from Jingle All The Way
Naughty/Nice globe from The Santa Clause - One of the stories we heard about this prop while we were on tour was that they brought this back on a trailer from California being pulled by Cousin Eddie's RV. Mr. Klaus obtained these two items at the same time. Could you imagine seeing these going down the highway together?
Like I mentioned, there are so many more non-movie related items at the museum, please make sure you click on the "More Photos" button below to see the vast collection.
